I think of it's a shame that people open a thread about a three day period in which they may not be able to drink alcohol, while hundred of thousands of people have lost loved ones.

Yes, you heard right, albeit for 56,000 there may be a longer period they will need to deal without booze, BECAUSE THEY DIED, but I agree that it is preposterous and selfish of them, that they even consider a mourning period for their loss.
Sorry to have to say this, but this thread is in poor taste, considering the circumstances - and it's also bordering dangerously close on disrespect for the royal family.

As all other drugs are banned 365 days a year = which doesn;t stop some. Why all the fuss about 3 day ban on this particular drug i.e alcohol.
if they wanna see alcohol as a party drug up to them, ask any alcoholic and you may get a different story.

very doubtful anyone would be in party mood after what happened -more like wtf glad it wasn;t me -give me a beer chang quick and another sort a mood until the shaking stops.
For us westerners New Year and xmas is another excuse to get f*** faced and alcohol is our drug of choice hence the only one not banned thats been tried
prohibition an all that didn;t work,neither will the war on drugs just will take a while to admit it, cause thats bad for votes etc. etc etc.
This is a religious thing woulda thought you guys livin the dream would of got used to it, of course anyone on two week vacation, three day dry isnow joke, bummer basically happened to me once it is a shock the first time I can tell you.
Im suprised noone has requested two minutes silence over the world out of respect to this tragity, that was a better idea, in the west we tend to give money then its outta site outta mind.
Here in europe where I am volunteers are being requsted
to go to Phuket to help for free of course (i assume the flight etc is paid ), how anyone can go on holiday there is beyond me. Anyone who has no commitments should do just that. Whoremonging can be done anytime, in such times there is a saying,
