RTb, looks like business prices will go up then, or are licences not transferrable perhaps, if not, then the owners have an unsaleable business in reality, although there are ways around it.

Let me get this straight. You are saying that the early closing is somehow a conspiracy of the Bush Administration so his wealthy friends can make more money? In addition, you claim the Press problems are also a direct result of the Bush Administration?
Now, please explain to me exactly how closing down a bar in BKK or Pattaya will line the pocket of one single Bush supporter. How does control of the Thai media make one Sitang of profit to line the pockets of the filthy rich Bush gestapo?
And what about getting all those nasty Cambodian beggars and soi dogs? Was this a Bush proposal? If they got them, what did they do with them? Why did they do it to them and what will happen to them in the long run?
Give us some real answers here. Some of us might have voted for Bush if you hadn't pointed this out. I'll bet Kerry wouldn't make the Thai government close the bars early!!

Obviously, expatchuck cannot see the wood for the trees.
It's all very simple. The elimination of dogs and Cambodians (and the introduction of cool temperatures) were all last-ditch attempts by Thailand to assert its independence.
We now know, from the early-closing proposals, that this campaign has failed, and that the evil Bush regime's determination to wipe both the poor and nookie off the face of the earth is riding high. Anyone else notice that it's beginning to get hotter too?
Anyway, it's a great relief to know that this fiend is now doomed and life in LOS will soon revert to normal.

It is much clearer to me now. It all has to do with the wood and the trees and the bark of the dogs that are somehow missing in action and Cambodia having all the cold air as well.

Isn't it funny how all of a sudden at the last minute now all of this will pertain to only new business licenses. It sounds like they realized this was not a good idea but they would never admit this thereby losing face so instead they say it is only for new business licenses. It looks like it will be business as usual for now. Hopefully they will eventually relax the 2 am closing for discos and Thermae.
