It was the general census of opinion from my hard bitten and cynical (Thai) sales team - but then they are of the opinion that ANY change in the law here is an opportunity for the 'boys in brown' to use as another opportunity to shake down some poor stiffs for some more money!

I really like this new world image that the PM is making for Thailand. Thailand has made the CNN front page headlines in the last few weeks.
1. Chicken Flu Coverup
2. The USA is a useless friend
3. Curfew for Teens and Early Closings.
BTW the Immigratrion counter for the Privilege Card holders was unattended, I think a Privilege Membership card at the No Hands place would be better received at least they have a line.
It seems that Chuwit was quoted in the CNN article, he seems to be Thailand's Jeese Jackson.

I understand your point. but I don't necessary think they will put that pressure onto the punters, however they do have grounds again to ask for that extra money, or that place on the payroll from the bar operators.
in the few weeks prior they were paralyzed. they simply didn't know what to do and to expect.
