2) Judging from the comments on this and other boards, a lot of guys are worried about the report of a farang getting beaten to death outside Nana. Random beatings to death take the edge off the holiday spirit. If it is only a ghost story/urban myth, it would be good to say so.

the truth....it's really not to important.... the only lesson is, true or no, this could happen, so do your best to make sure you do nothing to provoke it.
This is a city of 6 - 9 million people (depending if you look at the city itself or the conurbation)....shit happens in a million forms a day. I would suggest that most people come from cities that have far more incidents of such a nature than BKK.....
Anyone worried by this....don't come.....simple really, but this is the modern world we live in...murder rarely makes newspapers no matter how senseless...sad really

Well... yes.... but there are so many other things I would like to know the truth before I know abouyt a guy I don't know who got beaten.... that... really knowing the truth about this is a low priority for me. I would rather know the truth about who killed JFK.

I enjoyed the version where the thai dude crashed on his motorbike. Then crashed thug jumped up in his best Bruce Li/Jackie Chan pose and beat the farang up in the middle of the street.
Then landed the most dealdy Vulcan death grip every planted on a farang. Where he supposedly died right there. Meanwhile, the thug is in hiding because the police have his house staked out.
What a bunch of BS. IF some dude crashed on his motorbike in front of me. I would have laughed my ass off.
