I thought traffic in the bars might be down, but in Soi Cowboy Weds night, Baccara was pretty full. Suzy Wong and Tilac were not so full but they weren't dancing naked at SW (at 10pm) and SW quality was WAY down last night. In NEP, Angelwitch was pretty full and Morning/Night had it's usual heavy stream of customers

Thanks for that. I think many of us who are away from BKK are interested in finding out how all this is affecting the bars. Obviously the situation is still fluid but the info is much appreciated nonetheless. So long as the coup remains relatively stable these updates will remain a high priority for those of us who are viewing from afar and trying to plan our next visit.

As a side note, does anyone know about the status of the banks there? When will they open?
I tried to wire money from a large bank abroad to Thailand and wires to all Thai banks from my bank here are "frozen" until further notice.
