Ah, but, Abrak, you must be specific when discussing Bush, Members or Member's Members. For, you see, those topics can either be sexual in nature (for the more deviant Members) or platonic (for the less deviant Brothers). Ergo, "Bush" can be political (as in George W.) or, again, sexual (as in..."She needs to trim that bush."). The word "Members" also has dual usage. It can describe a person registered and authorized to access the Forum or it can mean part of a person's anatomy. Isn't the English language grand? However, in the context of this thread concerning early closing of bars in Thailand, how friendship (or lack of same) with the U. S. affects that early closing, how "Bush" (political) influences "Bush" (deviant) and what happened to the cool weather (for Naughty), it is all relevant, you see. It is posted in the "News Items" category which makes it even all the more relevant. I think topics and posts such as these merely add to the diversity of the board and should be applauded (i. e. "Clap" - another deviant and multi-purpose word) and encouraged. PS: I got your PM. Laem Chabang sound good. Early April?

Quote: from Gyaos on 10:26 am on Feb. 29, 2004 Take it from the USA. I believe the opposite will occur. Kerry will landslide win over George W. Bush. Kerry will take New Hampshire, Tennesee, Missouri, and California as givens.
Gotta agree that this is the most idiotic post so far. Our special friend Gyaos seems to be a tad clueless (or viewing everything through rose-colored glasses). If the US was only populated by Dems, then certainly Kerry would win now, as the Dems seem to favor him. Unfortunately, he's missing a tad leetle number from his math - namely, the Republicans and conservatives due to vote. The recent example in California has shown (amongst others) that in order to win, you need a candidate that is not an extremist from either side. Thus, in order to beat Bush, you don't just need someone that all the Dems like, but also someone that many Republicans will vote for. You don't have that in Kerry. He's too far left to make most people feel comfortable with, and (sad fact, but true) he simply doesn't look like someone you can picture in the White House. Now, who could have booted Bush? Wesley Clark - the guy the Dems treated like an afterthought, and who was smart enough to get out of the race. Too bad, though it will be a very amusing event to see the Dems (and folks like Gyaos) backpedal after November, trying to explain 'what went wrong'. Until then, I just watch from the sidelines, with amusement. Harry

From Gyaos: If you look at the primaries (google: Green Papers) you will see the Dems have a 4 to 1 margin of voters over Bush so far in nearly every state. Bush is finished in November...it will be a John Major style defeat. Don't be surprised if Kerry wins 40 states to Bush's 10 states. And don't be surprised if you see a Kerry/Edwards ticket to take in North Carolina, South Caronlina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. It's more than just show, its all math. That's not math, it's barely arithmetic. By your reasoning there shouldn't be a single non-Democrat in office with that large a ratio of voters. Kerry is being propelled by being NotBush and not from any real desire for him in particular. And he's being voted on by less than 10% of Dem voters in these primaries. Edwards isn't even running for re-election as NC senator since his ambition for national office and voting to that end have alienated him from the NC electorate. But you may be right in that there is a landslide brewing, but not the way you hope. poskat

Bush is going to win in November, there isn't a doubt in my mind. I'm not a Bush fan (Geroge W. Bush anyway) but he will win not because he is good, because Kerry is terrible also. Just hearing Kerry talk, he doesn't have a shot against Bush. I can't believe there isn't anyone out there better then those two, there is better but they are not smart enough to run. Both candidates are multi, multi Millionaires, why the hell would they want to a $200,000 a year job? Because they are crocks and want to change the country to better themselves and their friends. Bush takes all the oil in Iraq and his rich Texas buddies are richer. Bottom line, Government sucks in every country. Just my 2 baht worth. kjlv

Oh yes? So? In your opinion we should choose what? A poor guy? One who has proved to be such a failure through his life that barely manages to put food on the table for his family? Wake up! Before, now and in the future, the rich will govern the poor. Such is the darwinian way life goes on. It may not be the romantic thing we, the rest, want to hear, but such is the reality of life. So, stop dreaming about the cutesy (?) of pregnant pigeons.
