Remind me again, what's the official reason to close during election periods?
Is it that they're afraid the politicians will purchase alcohol to influence voters?
Or is it that they want cousin somchai to sober up for long enough to stumble on down to the voting booth?
Or is it to protect the children? That's more important during an election weekend, right?

It is these bar clsoure weeks that give me the biggest hangovers. Came home at 5:00 AM and could have stay out longer. Plenty of places open.
Toxic was booming last night. Glases running short and customers having to make ice runs. If this keeps up RTB will have to expand his staff.
RTB is pushing for a election every weekend. It looks like the same think (closures) will happen next weekend as well.

Watched the rugby in Soi 8 bar last night. Place was packed with beer flowing. BiB sitting outside drinking coke.
There was a full flow of cigarettes on the go inside. Poor air circulation couldn't cope and my clothes absolutely stunk this morning.
Soi 8 is a decent bar but a no-go for me if the extraction system is not up to scratch for getting rid of the smoke generated.

yes, the same will happen next weekend, but with the closing starting at 18:00 Saturday until Monday
it sucks being a regular in your local, cause they serve you in the back and send all the others away, I must have spent more on BJs and booze this weekend than most regular weekends, LOL
