Just a note here for any NFL fans who might want to see tomorrow's (1/8) Jacksonville Jaguars--New England Patriots play-off game live. (Unfortunately the game is not being shown live on ESPN in Thailand; instead it will be shown on a delayed basis at midnight Sunday night.) But if you want to see it live Sunday morning, the "White House" restaurant/bar, about 150 yards down Sukhumvit Soi 8, picks up an ESPN feed from outside Thailand and will have it live. They'll be open for breakfast at that time--it's an 8:00 AM kickoff--and the owner said he'd put the game on. I'm just one fan who likes watching NFL football, but for the benefit of anybody else who might want to see this play-off game live, I thought I'd put the word out.

Those playoff games played in Amereka on Sunday are supposed to be broadcast live in Thailand - http://www.startv.com/eng/oper_thai.cfm?schedule=true I have always used this online link for the schedule and I find it virtually 100% correct for 1-3 days ahead. One of the Saturday games is on Star Sports too.

If the same sitauaion arises again over the next couple of weeks (ESPN, as broadcast in Thailand, not broadcasting live a playoff game, while ESPN elsewhere in the region is) there's another option in the Sukhumvit area. 'Down Under' bar, located on the left side of Soi 7, is able to pick up ESPN from outside Thailand. The owner put the Jaguars--Patriots game on the other morning. (While ESPN here was showing golf.) ESPN has the broadcast rights to the AFC playoffs from here on out. And both AFC games next weekend are great matchups; New England at Denver and Pittsburgh at Indy. These should be awesome games!
