Concerns over the forthcoming verdicts in electoral fraud cases that could dissolve the country's two main political parties. The decisions would have an impact on Thailand political turmoil...
I am very skeptical about all this agitation... risk of violence? I do not think so. Thais seem disconnected with these political games. Is this an agitation to "dictate" what should be next week results?
Thailand is definitely on the slippery slope...

a message (warning) directly linked to the happenings of this coming week, General Panlop Pinmanee's apointment as military advisor to this government is clear: those trying to instigate unrest will meet the fate of those who tried in the past, he does not even bother deniying his role as assasin, and his sucess in it, he wont name the victims "as this would cause too much emotions among their relatives"
some people are still playing with fire, cause they thought the cns is joking, no blood was spilled, and the general appearance was rather lame. I believe this has changed now.
that these troublemakers are ill-intentioned is obvious, elections will be held before the end of the year, so why not just prepare and wait, the thai electorate will get its chance, just five months from now.

Very clear indeed... But Pallop is also notoriously unreliable, he may create unwanted situations. A double-edge weapon, if there is one...

or is it that those, cns et al., who are supposed to be united are not that much? Or could this be that the source of their legitimacy would be becoming blurred in many ways ? Well, what happens this week is going to be a major factor in shaping the elections, whenever (or if ?) they take place, isn't it? So, why wait, at least if opportunities occur before any deal is made?

People should not forget that Thaksin hired one of the best marketting/advertising teams in the USA to protect, and improve his image globally, including in Thailand.
By following the media they are doing a good job, but I feel the masses in Thailand are more inclined at this point to follow the words HM the King delivered last Thursday.
It will be interesting to see if Thaksin fires his media team after TRT is disbanded, and he is barred from participating in politics for 5 years. That will surely be a big loss of face for him, good reason to fire them, and he'd probably find some reason to not pay them...lol.

Surely, but the masses have also, to some extent, disconnected the CNS from HMtK. Sometimes, a mixture of greed and incompetence is just too apparent for some to maintain their credibility.

maybe it was a little naive and wishful thinking, on the other hand, those notorious trouble makers have to consider their own safety now as well, reduces their radius of action, to all those who wish to see a peaceful time until elections, General Panlops apointment is good news.

This seems a credible rationale behind the appointment - it means, essentially, "The gloves are off", and since the prior troublemakers are essentially cowards, and knew that the CNS wasn't going to do much, previously, they now have an actual threat to worry about. I would not be surprised if one or two mysterious deaths are to follow in the weeks to come, just to drive the point home.

I would not be surprised either. And on which side those deaths would occur is far from certain. Particularly as Pallop is not the only one with this particular set of skills which has been set loose. And the other ones do not appear to be working on the same side... Oh well, as long as they are used as deterrent...
It's like chess, folks, and Pallop and co are quite minor, they can make nice fireworks, would be easy to sacrifice, but they will not checkmate just by themselves. But they can make the game difficult to predict.

so far none of the (ill intended wishful) predictions we have heard over the past months have come true, and it does make a difference of you have the resources of a government, the people in charge endorsed by HM the King or if you are just a rich guy in exile with a bunch of greedy people (who never had the chance to think and decide for themselves) and even that bunch is getting smaller by the day, plus the money is still here and unoffically frozen.
