Obviously this person has no consideration for other's. Who is going to clean up the wall of the 'shop house', another bloody mess to fix at someone else's expense.
The custodian's of this large building should have given the 'jumper' a bill for repair's prior to his Superman attempt.
Although not a bad attempt at unaided flying. 64 floors, about 3 metres (10') per floor = 640 feet, not bad at all.

Am I wrong in thinking that the reasoning of this guy to pick a high building was that, given the length of the fall, he would have time to change his mind ?
Let's hope he didn't, just for his peace of mind in the last few seconds, that is if he had any peace of mind at all at that stage of his life.
But I do agree with barrafish, that to leave such a mess for others to clear up was selfish and inconsiderate.

There are numerous reports from all over LOS of round eyes jumping. MHO, most have run out of money or found out that their true love actually loved their money.
As for me, I'm not jumping off of anything above a curb, nor going to do anything to hurt myself, my aim is to f*** myself to death at a very old age.

Speaking of jumpers, there was a documentary movie last year about jumpers from the Golden Gate bridge. For a year they had several high resolution cameras filming the bridge. They were able to record several suicides from the bridge. The movie also contained interviews with people that survived the jump from the GGB. I never saw the movie and do not recall the name of it. I heard a interview with the film director.

Nothing is worth topping yourself for, except maybe incurable pain through an incurable disease.
Some of these clowns maybe think that includes unrequited love & poverty, but most of us know better after a few broken hearts.
Once or twice the 'black dog / dirty creature...call it what you will' of depression had me thinking the occasional irrational thought of doing myself in here in OZ.
My cure 1. get angry 2. get some exercise 3. book to LOS 4. a fine bottle of red to celebrate the booking 5. get on the plane 6. find a new girl 7. congratulate myself.
So, if you are you are already in LOS what's the problem 555. Therefore I conclude, as others have, that a lot of these must be homicides.

Jumping off a condo in Pattaya. Gads. Gives a new irony to the title of one of Cioran's interesting books: On the Heights of Despair. So much to live for, if they'd just sober up and get their heads together for a day. Clear their thoughts and get a job.
I think proper diet and exercise would cure most people's depression. A regime of sorts for a while to get them in shape, with some discipline of mind. Feel the appetites of life again.
Of course, their situation is different from the philosophical consideration of it. However, many people depressed cook up all kinds of ideas to justify their feeling of helplessness and uselessness. Everything seems doomed from the start.
RE The Golden Gate Bridge mentioned by CalEden. I had a friend who worked for AP, Associated Press. I was surprised when she told me that so many folks were jumping off that bridge all the time, often, but the press just didn't report it because it would be too depressing!

There's a policy here to supress suicide notices too- the reasoning is 1) to stop copycat's, & 2) to hide the real numbers from the public, who may then start to question why the millions thrown at social services is not working
Politics/Government...yeah now I'm starting to get depressed..sorry I broached the subject

I afraid that there are no social services for fat Farang Sex-Tourists and probably few tears shed for them by the local populace.
Regrettably most of the men who get caught in the 'Honey Trap' have problems that predispose them to suicide anyway. If they were not in LOS and did not suicide at home they would probably end up an OD on drugs, drinking to death, or getting their ass whacked in some bar fight somewhere...
