I am browsing this site from work alot of times & I wanted to know if it was possible to disable Avatars from showing up with each post. Some of the members' avatars are not really all that work safe if you catch my drift (not that I'm complaining, but I don't want my coworkers getting the wrong idea... actually the right idea, about what I'm doing on this site.) :p

You used to be able to, but now, you can't. Well, not yet. This feature will be enabled again in paid accounts only.

yo,
funny question as I was in the office yesterday and perusing (sp?) thru the site and my secretary said that an important fax came in so I jumped up and went to her desk...leaving bkktonight site up on my screen.
Well a co-worker (an engineer) came in my office to drop a contract for me to sign on my desk and saw dirty guru's new avatar on my screen.
I walked back in and was like "hey man" and he said, "nice website..you guys in sales have it made."

In Internet Explorer, and probably other flavours of browser, you can disable images which should have the desired effect.
IE: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > scroll down to Multimedia > uncheck 'Show Pictures'
Then reload the page and you should just get image placeholders.
If you really want to see an image (someone says look at my avatar or posts a link to an page with an image on it) you can right-click on the image place-holder and select show picture and that image (only) will be displayed.

I've had the same problem. I just change it to printable version. A bit more of a pain to use, but it beats the alternative
