I maybe a little naieve here....rock concert.. hhmmm. Of course I know it would not be in a rock quarry where rocks would be hitting other rocks to make a sound, so it would be in a big place...yes/maybe. I am assuming that this would be in Thailand. Why would you want a 'Snow Patrol' in Thailand, there is no snow here silly man. But you do indicate that it must be in the dessert somewhere. An 'Oasis' is a place where there are a few date trees surrounding a little pool of water in the vast sands of the dessert. As there is no dessert like that in Thailand...well must be some place else. Stereophonics...got this one pegged. It is in the loungeroom of a house, you put records on it and it spins around...that is where the word 'Stereo' comes from. Phonics is the family name of the people that live right next door...Yes right next door to Franz Ferdinand, the grandson of Archduke Ferdinand. You remember him and his misses were assassinated in 1914 and the world erupted into WW1. Its coming back to me now, 'Maximo Park' is the size of New Yorks Central park and 'Maximo Park' is just down the road from the Phonics and Ferdinand. Their kids play in that park and they simply love it. Ian Brown....I know a Browns Mountain between Cooma and Bega in southern NSW Australia. Maybe Ian is related to the Browns Mountain people, but they are real men those Browns Mountain men. Never heard his name around the campfire..so they must be ashamed of him and he is locked away in the shed, never to see light of day again. Those Browns Mountain people are tough hombre's let me assure you. Thai groups playing...yeah playing what. Dominoes, cards, marbles, scrabble, football, with each other? I guess they would be the best to watch though. So Mr Brochure man, you advertise on here and I am still lost what you are on about. It has really escaped the realms of my head of knowledge. Barrafish.

Looks like its going to be a great day, Saturday has the best line up, (Oasis and Franz Fredinand). I didnt find out about the concert till after I booked my flights and the bastards wont let me bring flight forward by 5 days unless I cancel and pay £350 extra. Oasis are good but not that good. The really good news is the 50 cent is doing a gig in Bkk end of Feb-early March, although whichever day it is I have to buy a T shirt from MBK and have a soapie somewhere so I am gutted I cant make it.

This concert will be Hot Hot Hot and I mean in temperature. The stage being set-up on huge parking space of white concrete. What cooling effects that might have been gain by breezes flowing over the man-made lake have been squasked by a 8 ft white solid tin metal fence place around the perimeter to prevent people from sneaking into the concert. Not a tree in sight. The crowds will be sun baked in the concrete/tin frying pan in short order. On another concert event on Friday the 17th Uriah Heap will be performing. Frankly, I though those guys were dead and secondly who in BKK actually knows of Uriah Heap besides the very old hippies in Karsan Road who probably can't afford the ticket or taxi fare to get out to Impact to see them. It should be interesting. Based upon the size of the new convention center that is column free they could have had the rock concert held in there inside with air con especially since there are no conventions schedule there this weekend. To anyone going bring plenty of water and sun screen.

Well the advice from their website. Like I said It will be Hot! * Thailand is a very HOT country! So you better dress comfortably. * Have a bottle of water with you, so you can enjoy the show, not spending time for the water! * In case of personal sickness, you need to prepare your pills to be ready to use for the emergency. * Don't bring any valuable stuff with you here, this is a music festival, not a gala dinner. * Last thing, but not least. Don't forget the tickets!!! Do's & Don'ts * Enjoy the music, but not to bother other people. * Practice your fav songs of your fav artists, shout it out loud. * Don't throw anything on to the stage while the artist performing. * Don't bring any stuff that can be used as the weapon to the event, cos it will be captured! * Pay honor to all artists, even the one which is not your fav one. * Give priority to children, ladies, and senior people.

Maybe the Gallaghers didn't respect the Do's & Don'ts.
