Whenever people travel with weapons in the States, they must declare them before checking their bags. Something along the lines of extra paperwork and possibly fees. For those of you in LOS now, you'd have a better chance than I at finding out the proper procedures when bringing weapons into Thailand. It's hard to believe a speargun can't be found there. Don't they sell rocket-launchers just over the border in Cambo?

JackRabbit present... sensi, correct with FIREARMS, but if we are speaking about polearm or speargun ( BTW, do you mean a blowpipe or the diving speargun ?? ) which ARE NOT firearms, there should be no extra paperwork, when they go in Your checked luggage. You can have no access to them during the flight. Same goes with Your folding knives, scissors etc. alike objects, which are declared dangerous sharp objects in the plane. JR
