In the mid-nineties, after I became a thrice re-born again monger, there were four consecutive visits to Thailand for differing periods of time.

and then, since 1999,
There have been an endless stream of visits to Thailand every time I open my apartment door.
I wont list them.
There are too many of them to put down here.
And then, occasionally, of an evening or night, it has been known that I have taken a bit of Thailand home with me to my apartment.
And if I've been very lucky, some bits of Thailand have even come knocking on my door.
My best visits to Thailand have been when she lets herself in with a key and has to wake me up to explore the regions, folds and rises, rivulets and smooth plains connecting deep recesses and wetlands, highands and pulsing streams that flow, and slow, quiet throbbing of the heat in the lowlands.
How I love to breathe in the scent of the country air and drink the juices of Thai sweetness.
I like to feel myself embedded in the land, enfolded and gripped by its passion and its fervour, to the point of being spent.
I like to come whenever I please, taking utmost pleasure in my visits and ensuring that those who accompany me on these journeies of discovery and wonderment are experiencing equal pleasure and delight.
Thailand is my favourite place to visit.
I come again and again and again.
And even when I'm shag-tired, I still want to come again.
There is no end to this craving, this lust for exploration and discovery, this traveller's path of enrichment on the orgasmic plains of sensual pleasure.
Dare I say pilgrim ?
I have a long way to go before the night.
My progress has been unforgivably slow.
But I'm making up for lost time in my endeavours.
I never send postcards.
