well thanks you guys for all the well wishes on my b-day. i actually went out last night and tonight looking for a hooker. there were blacks, whites, some koreans, and hispanics; no thais. drove round waikiki for a good hour or so. even stopped in some MP's. but, i came back home empty-handed. i tell you it's the thai voodoo curse. i just start thinking about the experience for the price (about US$200) and i was ruined. here i am on the forum for the past two or so hours. i tell you i'm getting old.

Sup: It happens to me -- even here! Everytime I think I'm going to splash out some cash and make sure I really have a special time -- on thast particular night nothing comes together...
I had my 40th B-Day 3 months ago and it should be a special one right? I haven't even tried to celebrate it yet because A) I haven't figured the perfect plan yet and B) I know the plan would probably fail!

Arc: So true but on the "glass 1/2 full" side, if one just goes with the flow and take it as it comes in this place (with a bit of judicious maneuvering) one does have a remarkably high average incidence of winding up with an amazing time...
Does that make sense? I'm trying to avoid going into a long boring spiel about what I think you already know.

an old fart of 50 here....been visiting LOS since 1973 when the Army sent me to Bangkok at the ripe old age of 20 to serve my country....spoiled me for life - have been going back for periodic vacations and managed to get over to Thailand (Phitsanoluk, Korat and Nakhon Si Thammarat) for exercise cobra gold in '97, '99 and 2000...go back to BKK and Pattaya annually with a few of my buds from here in Hawaii.....usually in Sep-Oct time-frame

My problem is a bit more complicated than yours. I retired about 18 months ago shortly thereafter treated myself to a pleasure trip to LOS. My 58th birthday is coming soon and I intend to treat myself to a birthday trip to LOS. Although I am still in reasonably good (6 ft. 175 lbs.)physical condition I find that my body has aged beyond my brain and has difficulty keeping up with the brain's fertile proliferation of ways to achieve a smiling end to the day. A classic example of the little head not being able to keep up with the big head!!!
