Moke -- Great meeting you, TWD and KF, as well as AM & DD again. DD's friend, the Man U fan, was a pretty funny guy at Chan Darette; can't wait to hear his stories from his trip to LOS. And what happened to Noknoi?
BTW, AM and I were "lucky" enough to get a tour of scenic Gardena afterwards, curtesy of the Leader of the Lunatic Fringe. TWD, it's a mirabelle--I mean miracle--that we found that place.

What happened to Noknoy?
He met a hot El Camino Japanese exchange student at noodle joint on Rosecrans Blvd.
No...I wish...1600-On my way out of LA my brakes were grinding. Since I had four hours to kill I went down in OC to my Saturn dealer. They gave me a butcher's bill of 900$. Three hours later I was the owner of a new Saturn. By that time it was bout 830P and pouring.
I am glad I have a new car but I was really looking forward to meeting all of you. Earlier I had read several good articles about the restaurant and wanted to try the lamb massaman. I had to settle for In N Out which gave me diahrea. My stomach is still on LOS food.

Sorry about your bout with the Saturn dragon, you missed a great L.A. RT. We met at Chaba in Redondo Beach as planned. It rained off and on, so the freeways were crowded and all the L.A. brothers dragged in late. Daffy and graeme took to the side streets!
Attendees: asian man, ronny raygun, Daffy, greams, thin white duke, killerflix & moke.
AWOL - with an explanation: noknoi
Chaba was packed and swinging' in spite of the inclement weather. It is always an interesting experience - meeting a BTF brother for the first time and putting a face to a screen name.
Nobody was even close until TWD showed up. In unison, everybody looked at him and said, "thin white duke!"
He grinned, sat down, and the festivities commenced!
Heard a lot of great BKK adventures that need to be posted in the FR thread.
Food was great!
graeme was wired and stuck to an all beer diet.
TWD was vintage TWD - even funnier in person.
asian man told some interesting tales.
Having just returned from LOS, Daffy brought us all up to date on the latest happenings.
ronnie raygun depressed us all by announcing he is off to BKK next month.
killerflix chatted about his latest trip to BKK - sounds like he was the "Scourge of Sukhumvit"!!!!
moke got hit on by a farang at the bar, but was too busy listening to a killerflix escapade, and ignored her advances. Besides - he has been spoiled by BG's and is still off USA farangs!
We wore out our welcome at Chaba, and nobody wanted to call it quits for the night; so we headed off towards Chan Darette in the Marina Del Rey to continue the fest.
Everyone arrived in spite of the rain and had to order extra beer as the bar closed at 23:00. Unbelievable - they are picking up one of BKK's only bad habits.
graeme hit on a Thai sweetie at the next table and had trouble containing himself. Actually, she had trouble containing herself - it must be his British charm and accent!
When we left and were chatting in the parking lot prior to departure, asian man looked around for TWD and found him missing in action. We figure graeme warmed the TG up, and TWD - forgetting he was not in BKK - finished her off.
Fun was had by one and all and we have decided to make this a monthly occurrence.
All you L.A. lurkers are formally invited to the next edition of the L.A. RT - more to follow! All expatriates who are in the neighborhood are definitely welcome

Great report Moke! That woman hitting on you at the bar -- I think she and a friend got a table right behind you in the dining room and spent most of the evening looking your way. Or maybe it was another woman, in which case moke = chick magnet. 
Poor Graeme! Every woman he met last night was "Thai".  No wonder he's leaving Wednesday for LOS.
I've got to hand it to Graeme & TWD: they have wives that let them travel to LOS without them.

Wow, that was one heck of an insanely fun RT, and it seems like Mokewen captured it just about perfectly in his recap.
Sounds like making it into a monthly event is a great idea - now if BK could be made to make a guest appearance!
