Actually not a bad idea... not convenient as Sukhumvit.
We (CG, BK, myself) were there last month. In terms of SC or Nana only a few girls on stage (it was Songkran). But the three of us agreed that the quality of the girls and their dancing skills were higher.
And early in the evening the bars are deserted....

yes, nothing is happening until 19:30 when the young ladies come in to change their clothing
but sometimes they'll change right in front of you 
and there are some little gems hiding out there
1,700 for LT last time I was in the area
there's some sort of beer garden on the corner, just as the road curves around, next to SCB, that might be a good place to get started

Black Swan is a stones throw from the Asoke BTS on the even (NEP) Soi side of Suk going back toward Nana.
Gullies is good too.
I vote for Black Swan as I have not been there yet.
