FYI, Songkran Party at The Stone this Thursday night, April 14. Parties at The Stone have been hit and miss: some are well attended, some aren't, some cater to Thais, some don't. The best ones seem to be the ones thrown by Thai groups and/or geared toward the local Thai scenesters. Not sure who's behind this one; will try to get more info...

Not sure who's behind it but saw the ad's in local Thai newspapers and there's meant to be a bevy of DJ's. Other than tha, as you said- the usual suspects; young-ish Thai locals working their way over from Krueng Tedd.
Tonight at Ban Phai (not my favorite) there's a Sonkgran party then I Friday would be KT, same night as well Nad Pub on Sunset.
Were you at Kao Dtom last Sat. night? The night before the Songkran street party?

Kao Dtom Thai Hollywood, between Palms and Stone on the same side (North) of Hollywood Blvd.. Open till 4am or later, live music/Karaoke most nights.
I know you must know this place. I don't know if it's known as somethin' else as I realized the sign for the place is in Thai "Kao Dtom Hollywood" and the only sign in English is Hollywood Thai. My bad...

Oh yeah, I know it as Hollywood Thai. I was there with two friends two weekends ago because KT was too crowded. I was in KT the Saturday night before the street party -- I remember that because I scored a great street parking spot even though Hollywood Blvd was blocked off.

FR on Sonkran Party at Thai Captain-
It is always nice to put a face to a moniker. Attending were Killerflix, Asian Man, and another fellow (K) from the RSD (Real Social Dynamics) Community and soon-to-be Thai Newbie. Food was great, babes were even hotter (but all w/bf's and hubbies) and great music; Oldies, look-thoong, and moorlam. Killerlix and K went to Chaba afterwards. I had to teach this AM so I had to make like a BG and split.
Friday, April 22, 1900-Mini RT at Chaba. Mokewen will be there to return my treasured Nong Natt collection and he will tell us about the new Boeing 797. Everyone is welcome.

Sounds like you had a good time! I didn't get out until late due to other stuff, but I think I made up for my late start by staying out 'til 4 am at Ban Phai and Taste of Thai.
I think I'm spending the 22nd at a Korean BBQ joint and then to Soju Town (literally), so I'll have to pass. I'll catch up with you guys another time.
