As for me, I'm rapidly approaching 30, and that thought scares me. The beer belly was already showing when I was 18 - have managed to recently bring that under control with a strict thai diet regemin, and drinking whiskey more often than beer. Cant do much about the emerging grey hair though.....

Hello chaps. I first took the waters in Thailand when I was in my early 30's. That was now 33 years ago! And, I'm still game for a tumble with a lass or two.
My pretty mia noi recently turned 23. Although I protested that at 65 I was too old to take on more responsibilities I was fortunate enough to become her first and only lover a year ago. We are happy in our home by the sea and look forward to spending many days and nights together.
So you young chaps in your 30's and 40's have a long time ahead of you! I hope that the Kingdom will be as good to you as it has been over the years to myself.In return, I have been attempting to pay the country back by helping some Issan young people get through high school and university.

Whenever I travel to Chiang Mai and places up North I marvel at the number of Farang "oldtimers" ( and not so oldtimers ) who have settled down with their Thai "wives" and seem to be leading a blissfully happy life .
It appears that you have just completed one year of living together with your Thai "wife" . I wish you many , many more happy and fulfilling years together .
Also - I must raise a toast to you for helping out students in your area . It is no wonder that your Thai "wife" adores you in spite of the vast age difference .
