I hope I haven't given the impression that I'm cool with bloodshed so long as it gives me a discount. If I had to choose between a bloodless coup and a cheap P4P I can assure you I'd always pick a bloodless coup.
I any case, I'm not sure what atl is getting at. Either there's going to be little if anything "shit" to see or it's going to be very bad shit. Coups are either minor events played deftly or they're major f***-ups that cause lots of harm.

Pretty much like business as usual. I just caught a news blurb that Khun Jaruvan [auditor extraordinaire of financial irregularities] gave a thumbs up on her way into a mandatory briefing before the Administrative Reform Council [current defacto rulers]. That gesture alone said it all.
Taken together, with this email from a friend: "Doesn’t sound like you’re in imminent danger when the military junta is quoted, “We ask for the cooperation of the public and ask your pardon for the inconvenience” and you know it's time to breath a sigh of relief.
As a matter of fact, I just decided to grab my camera and snap of shot myself posing with the tanks fronting government house....
