Truer words were never spoken. I was in a 10 year live-together relationship with a Korean lady prior to my 1st trip to LOS. Frankly, after 6 years, that relationship was like riding a sine wave of ups and downs that never leveled off. But neither of us really had the emotional courage to do the right thing and call it quits. So finally, after Xmas the last year we were together, she told me she wanted to move out. I think she was surprised when I quickly said "okay."
I was on a plane to LOS the next month with a buddy, where I met my TGF the 1st night. When I returned after that 1st trip, my Korean g/f was still living there, and asked me if I'd changed my mind. "No," I said, and a very sad conversation followed that. She moved out during my 2nd trip to LOS two months later. As those of you following my story on the forum know, six years later my TGF now has a fiancee visa and is due to arrive in Amerika at the end of February.
I suspect Wanderingsam's situation is quite different from mine, and yes, I do think about my ex-Korean g/f from time to time, but I know in my heart I made the right decision. In the 6 years I've been with my TGF, the good times have been many, the bad times few, and the smile on my face much more consistent. I'm a happier person.

Damn... connection in NRT is delayed by 3 hours. Won't even get to the hotel until about 5 AM.
At least I found an open wifi connection directly below the NW lounge. It's their fault I'm stuck here, so I will use their wifi.

If your frequent “business calls” in LOS were mostly a lie (which I guess) why not create a new lie for more frequent visits after your retirement? Yeah, maybe tricky to find a new excuse, but what the heck… you may even start a real business… haha… Retirees definitely need something to do! Anybody knows that!!!
My poor 50+ European working class existence ehhh well, let’s say hard working middle class existence doesn’t allow any retirement before 65!!!  So after 2 years of full testosterone controlled temporary expat life in BK I know that I will spend the remaining days of my virile manliness in the sex desert of Germany and in a marriage which is a good partnership and even a happy love story but no sex life at all… (yes, it’s possible – everything is possible…)
Btw. how exactly is this geriatric sex life of all the really old men (65+, 70+) in the Nana lobby which will hopefully be mine too in a not so far future? What do they do with the TGs? Yeah, I know about Viagra… but I’ve heard about heart attacks too…
Nah… don’t tell me… I don’t wanna know…
What I know is that some at least do what they do in great style – like bro oldtimer and others… and some of the girls really prefer older men cause we are so nice and easy…

Wheels up in 13 hours. Already nursing a nasty headache, hurt my back and took a bunch of Vicodines last night, I am so groggy today the day is just floating by...
