Barreta,, time the flight and we can pick you up from airport.
I've got a spare room, plus 2 lounges for people wanting to crash,,, but you'll need to be able to put up with my son waking around 5:00am,, NOT my genes causing that!!!! Wife mostly friendly and depending on time of the month will likely make breaky for all.
Considering we'll probably get back at 5am its should work out perfect,,, get to meet my son ( cute baby ),, have breaky,, I kiss my wife bye bye and she pisses off so we can all sleep,,,.

mmhh if there has to be an ozzie RT let be in Melburn, best place to socialise and be out and about at night time. Restaurants and bars there knock spots off anything found in Sydney.
In any case Darling Harbour and the CBD ain't the ideal place for parking and our postman will def get drunk and disorderly and will have to get into fights to defend him (mateship is so important here, will never let down a mate. we'll fight together). But that's hardly an ideal fun night out.
Cronulla, has to be Cronulla. Lovely shire and with some decent clubs around Woolooware, I spent some relaxing afternoons at The Royal Motor Yacht Club and the food is not too bad. There is a lovely modern Australian restaurant in Arthur Av, the name escapes me, just in front of Cronulla park right off The Esplanade, South Cronulla. Decent nosh there and well mannered patrons. The Rydges Hotel is a good place to stay overnight.
Yes the place ain't perfect, especially when lebo tourists descent on town, and middle aged yobbos can be seen driving around in coloured red&white Ford transit vans. So to recap, if Mel-boy gets stoned as he always does, he can be dumped on the nearest beach overnight, in the company of couple Abo kathoeys. That'll surely sober him up in a flash.

Jingjo,, it wil take at least 10 hours on the Black jack tables to win the necessary cash ( 10 million BAHT ) to retire in LOS,, so no way are you leaving before 5
Then again,, I'll probably loose my planned outlay of AUD 300 within 25 minutes,,, so probably home early

Check back and see Dr Loves comments regarding my peacefull nature, I'm no idiot thug, but I can understand why you may think that way,, I believe you live in the western suburbs >?? oh dear you poor man,, now I really do feel sorry for you.I don't blame you for being bitter,, surrounded by yellow T-shirts,uggh boots,, and sheilahs with mouths that would make a Sargent blush.
Agree about melbourne having a better pub and eatery scene,, love Flinders ? road and the old Church turned into an Irish pub.
I still think a relaxing day at Randwick races followed by a bite to eat and a good drink at Darling harbour would be a fine RT.
Plan to drop AUD 300 and no harm done.

Mid June sounds good for me, and hopefully the majority. I will be in OZ from early June to late July, but am hoping to escape to LOS again thereafter.

There are many good places in Sydney proper or suburbs for a good meal & few drinks. Even around Randwick there are some great pub eateries...not far from the track...hard to get home though.
Cronulla is not bad..plenty of clubs & eateries, I spend a lot of time there, but it is far from home also, so Rydges would work for me.
There are a few Thai places in Cronulla LOL...How about a Thai feed up in Mon Tien?
Whatever the place, could be a bit of fun.
I will need a few drinks by then because post LOS blues will be descending on me. I may bring my brother for moral support.
