I guess S05 (Beratta) was about 50-55 years old.
I met him on several occasions and he was always friendly. I remember talking with him in Gullivers and he constantly cried.

I guess the Bhuddists are correct and balance must be maintined in life.
I feel sorry for SO5 as my story is similar. I had a Phils-Am wife who was running through money faster than it could possibly come in, I started drinking but fortunately I found my balance, divoriced the lady, and moved to Singapore to rebuild my life.
Funny enough the divorce helped her too as she has found life balance and is much happier these days without having to spend money to prove it.
RIP S05, you are in a far better place now....

Honestly speaking reading this its a wonder that whisky is legal considering the harm it can do when abused no difference to any other drugs in that regard what that says about the war on drugs well I wont go into that now out of respect. Terrible for the family but the end result can be the same as a heroin junk.
A lot of people think because something is legal its ok like jingjo says he did not know the damage he was doing.
Makes me shudder to think about it, I have tried every substance known to man but I stayed well away from whisky since the first time at 14.
But we never know what blows life will give us and how we will cope some handle things better than others, some of us even thrive on the difficulties.
One thing I learned is to love anyone we need to love ourselves first,also emotional problems occur when we are young. Alcohol and other drugs used in excess dont help to solve these issues sometime we have to face the demons before its too late.
