arcadius is one of the brothers that has a lot to say; makes a lot of sense; gets his points across in a positive, non-destructive manner; and will hopefully be contributing to this great forum in the near future.

If the commentary actually makes a point, contains some social redeeming value, and has some modicum of human interest - sure.
Otherwise, one is wasting time and energy best put to some other use.
Another topic - how is Shanghai between Xmas & New Years?
I am thinking of renewing by Chinese Visa and taking a side trip during my stay in BKK.

Shanghai at that time is cold, wet and the citizens can be grumpy, but the city is fully Xmas decorated, just like a Western city. (But not a baby Jesus manger scene in sight). Trouble is, Chinese girls wrap up, often wearing long underwear (longjohns), thick stockings, two or three sweaters topped by a coat. And some of the ugliest boots around. So you have missed the flower season when some of the girls here run around with less clothes on than Western girls (short-shorts were very hot this summer). All the clothes here in Winter are dark. Dark blue, dark brown, dark gray, hell they even have a dark black!
