dunque,,, if you ever get them confused just throw a lambs wool jumper on the ground and see who molests it first ( joke),, Kiwis are well known for their sheep loving and Aussies are often accused of the same thing with Kangaroos.
The Australian - New Zealand relationship is a VERY complicated issue to discuss,, but to cut it down to size,, basically we pretend to hate each others guts,, but would also put our lives on the line to protect eachother,,, as I said complicated.
I love my kiwi jokes,,,, 1) How do you know if a kiwi has been in your fridge???

2) What do kiwis call a sheep in their backyard???
A ride-on lawn mower.
But many of us always remember the New Zealanders not only for their sporting skills but for their outstanding contribution to FREEDOM. During WW2 which country sacrificed the greatest number ( per head of population) in the battle for freedom,,,, yes NZ.
And this has to do with the topic,,,,,ah notin,, sorry.
