hello,
I just wanted to ask people (that lived in LOS) what things they miss about Thailand.
For me the energy of bkk, which I bitched about many times, is one big one.
Let me know the small things you guys miss.

Not sure if this is an already existing thread----
Fresh fruit carts and that fresh OJ fron the carts--great after a hangover.
Also that initial airport taxi ride to my Suk hotel and looking out the window and always getting a friendly wave and smile from some TG on the street.

I know when I am not in BKK I just miss friendly smiling people, then comes all the other great things besides the pussy...like service....
Having 5 people working in a small 7-11
Having people ready to take my order at a resturant
Having a person waiting at every isle in a store
Having a cheap taxi in an instant
Having everything cost what it actually should
Saying "WOW" to myself every minute I am walking around BKK, when I see a hot girl.
The list goes on and on

Ya that makes me just hate thailand....get real. The USA has even worse booze and bar laws then thailand, and people actually abid by them. At least here everything is negoiable with the police.

oh the police thats a conundrum (sp?)
I bitched about the men in brown alot. However hiensight is 20/20
I was driving home at 7am after a long night drinking and honestly was still buzzed. I sidesswipped a farmer in his truck. nobody was hurt thank god, just knocked teh side mirroes off both cars and had some paint marks.
anyway, the cops came and it cost me 400$ US to squash the whole thing. I mean half went to the cops and half to the farmer to fix his truck (which I would bet my left leg never happened, it was a piece of shit).
I was like I cant believe I had to pay 400 bucks as I had insurance but looking back on it what a lucky son of bitch I was.
Baquawn, the taxi's was a great one. Is like 120 baht just to get in a taxi here, and forget about a 20 minute ride your looking at 30 bucks as opposed to 85 baht. I bet its even worse in england.

Maybe not a small thing to miss, but I miss the dirt cheap massages. Not like here in the U.S. where they are $100+ and usually performed by unattractive older ladies. Even some of the most professional massage establishments in Thailand (where the treaments are unbelievable) only cost about 1/4 of the price of what it would cost me here.
