Actually, I think this the norm here. Many guys use this forum as an information source for Bangkok and Thai girls and then go out seeking their goal. If the relationship turns bad, they make sure they tell their war stories here and get consoled by many members saying See I told you so.
The successful ones, have little need for the information contained in this site as they move on to a next segment to their life. If you are not living in Thailand or plan to do any mongering there is little to be gained here.
So the success stories tend to be few and far between and skew the total picture.
Good on Compexec1 to report his success story back to us members here and I hope he has a long happy relationship with his Lao Girl.

I think that is a very good summation of what happens TU and good reasoning why the odds against success look worse when viewed here than they probably are. Know many couples that have met in Thailand (and other parts of Asia) through P4P and have made a good go at a normal relationship.

LG have been here over 2 years, we have been married almost 2 years now and are expecting our first child any day now.
Life has been good, we have had our ups and downs but the last two years have been the happiest of my life. The process of LG slowly disengaging from her family and bonding with mine has been painful at times, but LG has come to love my parents and they her.
I don't know if I'm just lucky, deluded, or the stories we all hear are not that common place? Anyway I still stop by and take a peek from time to time, I hope all is well with everyone... even Daffy.

Certainly worked for me! I can speak up for 6 other couples in the my immediate area of the SE USA who are happy, making kids and living very happily together. Most of those stories do not get posted. Met a 59 year old German (American Citizen) at the Thai temple today. Him and his 30 year-old Thai wife seemed very happy and she's been in Amerika for 3-weeks now.
