Flew EVA last september LHR-BKK return. Econ on the out leg and free upgrade (evergreen delux) on way back. The airline is ok and a lot better than some, the seats are good for a nice kip if you have had enough to drink and the service is good but you do have to keep reminding them to top you up.
I am tempted to spend the extra on my next flight for the upgrade but the budget is looking a bit thin at the moment. So will probably travel cattle class in the back and try to blag an upgrade again.

I will be using Evergreen DeLuxe for the first time next month.
For UK travellers there is OURS TRAVEL in Warren Street London who are Eva consolidators, with Ours you don't have to pay for your ticket until 2 weeks before you travel.
At a guess the economy fare in Jan is £430 +tax while DeLuxe is £555 + tax, so it is only about £75 each way extra for a lot more comfort.
The LHR-BKK flight was 747 Combi but now they are introducing the full passenger configuration on some flights, times are excellent as well.
Do not book direct with Eva because you will pay more for your flight.

Flown both they dont have the mid business-cattle class as Eva and Virgin have, plus KLM have the worst cabin staff I've ever flown with but there again my m8 swears at em sorry ment 'by them'.
KLM is the cheapest though from Taipei-Bangkok but I will not buy any more tickets from them.

I buy my tickets direct from Eva vie the internet here in Taiwan their home base and get some good deals Delux is 12000 nt$ and we get for 8000 nt$ plus a 1000 bonus airmiles, have you tried doing the same in UK?
If you do please post the difference with your 'Ours Travel' price.
The bags are in the motor so I'm gunna head for the airport and the EVA lounge and Deluxe class and in 8 hours time it will be song Singa and LBFM time.

Fly enough sectors to qualify for a silver FF card, from the UK (and I guess the US) you get this after 3 return flights in E Dlx. Not sure what the arrangements are ex Taiwan, never flown there with Eva.
