I just checked bangkok air and they are showing 12,000 baht rt to siam reap.The travel agency quoted me $600 american for the same thing.

I recently used Thai Travel Service (TTS) for a heap of assorted travel/accom and found them very good. I originally got the pointer from this site. The manager is a Brit called Susan. TTS email is ttstrav@ksc.th.com
TTS is located in Soi 4 just down from NP.
As usual it pays to check around for the best deal.

FYI -- for trips between Thailand and Cambo, check out the Discovery Airpass offered by Bangkok Airways. You must buy at least 3 flight segments, but they are $80 USD for each international segment and $50 USD for each national segment. $210 will get you BKK -Siem Reap, Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and Phnom Penh back to BKK. I think you can only buy this fare outside of Thailand or Cambo.
President airlines often has the cheapest flights BKK - Cambo -- it is also worth a try.

I took President because of the cheaper fare but it does not fly direct to Siem Reap; goes via Phnom Penh & the connection to Siem Reap was not so good. I stayed in PP for a couple of days & was able to amuse myself. However, to get around you need a car & driver. I had a Mr Kim who was reliable & understood what I wanted.
