How do you work that out, I've done both in the last few days, no difference whatsoever. 50B surcharge on both, plus meter fare.
I walked the long tunnel yesterday, I usually count the airconditioners, but can never remember how many there are, I wish some of them were off. The biggest treat was when I got a ride on a golf cart.....superb.

Don't want to walk 500 m? TAKE THE FREE BUS.
Don't want to hassle with the intl terminal taxis?
Go to Amari Airport Hotel (via the Sky Bridge) and get a taxi from there (at street). Meter rate, no hassles.
It's a shorter walk than the Domestic terminal, only about 150 m.

That was an advice for other newbies like me. I arrived at BKK airport interntl. terminal first time in Feb., ordered a taxi at one of the texi booths and paid ~600B. Two weeks later I came in from Phuket, arrived at the domestic terminal, entered a cab and paid only around 300B for the trip to Suk.
So I was kind of ripped off first time, and I just wanted to share this with other newbies. All the oldtimers probably went through this a couple of times and can only yawn about the story...

Wanna save some change, cheap charley uses the escalator up two floors make a right and walk out to the arrival hall. Lots of taxi discharging passanger. Never a hassle with the meter as they figure I'm a expat who knows the ropes. 3 days until I'm reloaded in the Thai Matrix
