Anybody got experience or info about crossing from Thailand to Laos in a rented 4 wheel drive for about 1 week of touring ? Any problems bringing a Thai rental car over ?

They used to only allow left hand drive vehicles in laos, and vietnam - dont know about now, but for sure, it will take plenty of red-tape - paying fee's - time wasting etc. Best to use a local car hire place -
