48-baht flight Singapore-to-Thailand by Tiger Airways

Singapore (dpa) - Low-cost carrier Tiger Airways is offering S$2 (48 baht) fares to all its Thai destinations to mark its second anniversary, the airline said on Sunday.
The 10,000 seats up for grabs are for travel during September and go on sale starting Monday to August 6 or until the seats are sold out.
"The Thai capital of Bangkok was the first destination Tiger Airways flew to on its inaugural flight from Singapore on September 15, 2004," said Tiger chief executive officer Tony Davis in a statement.
The Singapore Airlines-backed Tiger also flies to Phuket, Hatyai and Krabi in Thailand.
Tiger also serves Singapore, Vietnam, China, the Philippines, Australia and Indonesia.
The carrier is expected to take delivery of three new Airbus A320s at the end of the year, boosting its fleet to nine of the planes. Another three are likely to join in 2007.

The ticket price does not include taxes, airport fees etc. Still good value. On a similar promotion (free tickets or $S10) in April the total cost of a one-way flight from Sing to Phuket was $A50 each. Enjoy.
