Is there a Travel Agency in Bangkok that you can drop off your passport and they will obtain a Vietnam Visa in a few days for you? Preferably around the Sukhumvit area. Thank you.

I did not want to spend alot of time at the Embassy. Last trip did it through travel agent in PP, $40 and couple days later had my visa. Less than 10 minutes on my part.

Cal: No big line of people trying to get into Nam. I've been to the consulate 3X with no wait drop off or pick up. Just watch out for the lunch thing. I think they want 2 days. It's way cheaper and faster in Phnom Penh, should you be there. Same day & $25. wj

A btf member passed this info:
just back from China. They have taken the Swine Flu thing to extremes, now before you get off the plane on comes a Team in HAZMAT Suits who individually scan each passenger. If your Temp is over 36 (I believe) they Quarantine you and the people with a few Meters of you. One of my colleagues is currently in a Chinese Hotel (2 Star) in the middle of Bucks f*** nowhere, confined to his room, has been for 4 Days & has 3 days left before they will export him! He gets a choice of Chinese or Western food, Chinese Food is quiet good he said, for the Western they give you MacDonald's or Pizza Hut!
I am told Vietnam is taking similar precautions! Be-warned!

I agree with WJ, the last time I was there, it quite easy in and out. they even had the glue there to put the picture on the application. I think I might have even gotten it the same day, but can't remember if it wasn't the same day the next day in the afternoon.

Do you need a passport photo? In PP I just gave the travel agent my passport and the money nothing else.
