Do they do a mail in service? Or can I drop them off and come back later?

I went to Bankok Smile Dental Clinic on Suk soi 21 about a week ago for laser whitening using the LaserSmile system http://www.bangkoksmiledental.com/ Made appointment via email and quoted cost was 10,000 baht although on the day an extra 800 was added for pretreatment cleaning. The process took about an hour altogether and the only unpleasant bit was the cleaning beforehand (although the dentist spilt some hydrogen peroxide on my lower lip at one point which stung like hell). They throw in a foot massage but that only lasts 20 minutes so after that it got a bit boring. The dentist although speaking reasonable English was pretty uncommunicative and I felt a bit more explaination would have helped. Overall the results have been fairly/very disappointing - I think even by the dentist's assessment my teeth only seemed to lighten a couple of shades so I would say the outcome is barely percetable and not worth the 100 quid plus spent on the procedure. Maybe my teeth had the wrong king of staining or maybe they just shone a blue light on my face for an hour or so (although it all seemed very legit at the time) - I certainly didn't suffer any discomfort afterwards Overall not recommended Krung

Your experience reflects the general expectations from laser teeth whitening -- low to not perceptable difference in shades, for a relatively high price. My dentist (Dental Hospital Soi 49) has actually talked me out of it for that same reason. I found a pretty effective way to lighten my teeth using an 'as seen on TV' product, which not only worked surprisingly well, but only costs about $20 (US). http://www.telebrands.com/international/whitelight.html This comes with two trays, the gel, and a small light-emitter (LED) which you squeeze in your mouth, let it run for 10 minutes, and I actually saw a difference within three applications. You can run it 3 times in a row (which I do), and you will be able to see a difference within 1-3 applications. Caveat - you have to keep doing it to maintain (1-2 times a week), and the gel, while not expensive, can only be bought from them directly - and single purchases are moderately expensive, and they really try to push you into their subscription product, which delivers new stuff to you monthly or so (which is the way all these TV specials work - they lure you in with a product, but which needs reguilar maintenance, or refills, etc... and they make the majority of their revenue from the refill orders, and automatic fulfillments... Anyway, this product does wrk, at least for me, and with an initial investment of $20, it's very cost effective.

Hey guys, Hoping to bring some life to this topic. Will be visiting Bkk next month and may get my teeth whitened. Has anyone experienced this lately and could advise and update this thread? Any particular place to recommend? Is an appointment required or can you walk in on the day? Are there places along Suk?...I don't recall seeing any, but then on previous trips I wasn't looking. Post procedure care - can you keep drinking beer? Any advice will br appreciated. Cheers.

On their website they say they also offer a jacuzzi, thai massage, waxing, spa service "...and more" on the 4th floor. http://www.bangkoksmiledental.com/spa/floor4.htm Its quite a long list on the website, so I'm not sure what exactly is left for the "and more" bit. Did you not check that out or see any young lady dentists in those white smocks that might have been moonlighting in their massage parlour?
