Hmmm, of the whole proposal, I think the methane recovery scheme is the best part. Using it in a small fuel cell, and connecting the output of said cell to a heater around a small pressurized holding tank of tap water might provide enough energy to raise the water temp to approximately the correct temp.
Of course, there MUST be an iPhone app SOMEWHERE to provide closed-loop control for such a system.
Too bad Daffy and the Smegster are not able to weigh in...
Oh well, thanks for the inspired brainstorming.

I was laying in my bed in my apartment in BKK. Of course my stomach was upset and I knew I would have the blow outs soon.
The wife goes to the bathroom and as a typical Thai she locks the door.
About a minute later I feel the power of bad food working it's way to my ass hole and a fantastic blow out was on its way.
I run to the bathroom, try to open the door, it is locked.

She says "wait"
I waited.
I squated.

She finally opens the door, sees all the watery shit all over the floor, my leg, everywhere

Actually, the last full-time job I had in Thailand was working for a company that did approximately that. We visited a site where they collected taro processing runoff, let it ferment in pools, covered by a big (I mean BIG) plastic tarp, and compressed the biogas, feeding it to V-20 (yep, 20 cylinder) stationary powerplants which provided about half the energy required to operate the plant. Each powerplant was in a full-size shipping container form factor, and if I remember correctly, there were four of them.
We got to romp around on the tarp, because the supplier was there, and wanted to demonstrate how strong the material was. Glad he was right...
Wish I had managed to keep that job...it payed a bunch, and was interesting. Too bad the owner was a first-class lunatic...
