That dental Hospital Daffy used is very snazzy (read expensive). Located in little Tokyo basically across from Villa Market Suk 49, near to Samitived Hosp. They have everything you could possibly ever need & a nice coffee shop in the lobby. So it is well in Soi 49.

I'm just familiar with Dental Hospital:
"Had a good experience at the Dental Hospital, Sukhumwit Soi 49. Easy to find, professional care, friendly staff." They are at #85 of Soi 49.
They whiten teeth. I have decided not to have that done, as the minor lightening that would happen, out of spending roughly $250, was not worth it (and the brightness will decrease after 2 months, or so).
Home bleaching kits are the way to go, and MUCH more permanent, though they require some discipline (you have to do it twice a day), and some work on your part (argh!)

As a follow-up to my prior visit to Dental Hospital.
After my last trip/treatment, I developed some dull pain in that same troublesome molar. Uncomfortable, but certainly not un-endurable, and it only happened occasionally when I bit on some reall solid stuff.
So, I made a note to head back to Dental Hospital for a checkup, theorizing that one of the fillings may have gotten dislodged, or had some bacterial creep.
Walked in, waited 10 minutes, and after an initial consultation was assigned back to the same doctor (a very nice lady) that did the initial fillings. I dreaded the 'check' (which involves pressing very hard on the fillings to test) - but no 'ouch' resulted.
The fillings were all fine, but it turns out that I had a lateral crack along one of the deep fissures in that tooth, and when pressure is being exerted by the top tooth... well, you get the picture.
She called in a second doctor, more specialized in that kind of thing, and he examined me, and concluded that it is not critical and we should keep observing.
Summary - the work initially performed was top-notch and just fine, and my damn molar's design is at fault (note: I use the word 'design' liberally, and not indicative that any 'intelligent design' is behing the myth of creation).
As I walked out, and wanted to pay for the check-up, I was told that there are no charges for this visit.
Now, THAT is why I like this place, or any place in Thailand!

Modern day laser whitening will get yur plates of beef much whiter than a home bleaching kit ever will, also it only takes a hour in the dentists chair

I was pleasantly supprised last month when my dentist highly recommended having some serious dental work I have to have done in the future done partially in LOS.
The dental work being done in LOS is recognized in the USA as being top quality by western standards, and the cost difference will more than pay for the trip. My dentist's own words.
Now I just have to plan on how many bodyguards it will take to comfort me after the work is done.

Modern day dentists will disagree, but hey, what do I know, I've only consulted with about half a dozen of them. Of course, YMMV.
