Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok Sukhumvit Soi 1 is a good place to start looking.
Take a look at the web-site - you can book in advance and pick your doctor after reading their credentials.
I've had emergency treatment and a full cardiac check-up here and received written reports in English for both as part of the service. Spoken English is excellent. It is probably more expensive than other hospitals in BKK but still much cheaper than anything in the West. Enjoy.

You could have spent about 5 mins lookin' back through previous threads until you found this about a hospital in BKK:

Gotta agree, that was pretty lazy on the part of the OP.

But anyway, most people consider the Samitivej Hospital to be the number two best in Bangkok. It's down soi 49, very close to Thong Lor [actually, Thong Lors soi 13 dead ends out front of the hospital].

They run at a really outstanding service level. I've walked in and asked for service on three or more occasions and have never been left waiting for more than 15 mintues.

I did a full physical there- by appt.- about two months ago, at their Wellness Center. Very pleased with the whole thing. They seem to run promo's regularly. Here is a link to the latest:

Would highly recommend them...

I have a physical scheduled for May 9th at Bumrungrad. Set up the whole thing by email. Here are the prices they gave me for the different levels of physical exams. These are inclusive of doctor's fees.

Prenupt program---B2,400 (males)
Regular program---B2,500
Executive program---B6,000 (over 40)
Executive plus stress test---B8,800
Comprehensive checkup---B12,500 (males)

Each level progressively increases the number of lab tests/exams completed with the regular program I understood to be for relatively healthy males under 40. The exectuve program for those over 40. They do provide a matrix explaining each of the exam levels to make it easy to decide which you want. However, it is your doctors final decision whether or not to allow a level of exam or go to the next level.

The Executive Level is roughly USD$300 and I paid $1,200 for this this same exam, about the same lab tests, 2 years ago at my doctor's office in the USA.

If I like the level of professionalism for this exam, and I see no reason why I won't, this will be a yearly checkup.

Has anyone used the Positron Emission Tomography, or P.E.T. scan at Bangkok Hospital? It is usually combined with a C.T. scan to give possibly the most complete assesment of cardiac/neuro/cancerous conditions.
If so, how much was it? What did you get out of it?
Any other Hospitals have this equipment?
Thanks,
Jim

Bumrungrad Hospital, Soi 3, off Sukhumvit. They have a full-website and you can complete a form on-line. Just type: http://www.bumrungrad hospital bangkok in any major search engine (WEbcrawler or google) and you will find it.
They have various levels of "Health assessments" Thye are excellent. Good luck, Ayutthaya

I've been using Bumrungrad comprehensive checkup for about 5 years now. It's become a bit more "conveyer belt"/less personal of late, but still can't beat the service/price. Everyone will speak English, and you get a nice, bound booklet with all your results. Do if for a couple of years, and you can watch yourself degrade by comparing the test results year after year

Only trouble is, if you try and use this back home (at least in the US), the doctors there will say, "Very nice, but we want to do our own tests."

Ditto, for Bumrungrad - been doing my yearly physical there for the past two years, as well as an MRI this February. Excellent service. The top level of the physical is $300, with all kinds of tests, including threadmill, blood tests, x-ray (chest), and abdominal sonogram. Damn cool, very thorough, and my local kaiser office accept the reports into my file.

Maybe oher hospitals are lesser, but my patient history is at Bumrungrad now, and this helps as each doctor casn bring up any report in a matter of seconds on their screen.

The "paperless" aspect is impressive. No waiting around for records to be brought - simply accessed via your patient number.
