I actually spotted this the other day as i'm planning on heading to Phi Phi soon.
Yeah I was pretty shocked reading about the air quality in that room. Clearly no come back against the operators etc TIT.

Go to any hotel room in Thailand, open the aircon unit, and look at the disgusting state of the filter that has never been cleaned since the unit was installed...in some cases decades ago!
Not healthy at all for guests, but "no ploplem" who care about guests anyway?

Look at the filter at the condo.....I dont think it can filter much stuff. It's washable one, so they wash once a year here.

The problem is not that the filter can filter much or not, the problem is that it is never cleaned so that some funky fungus and other nice stuff can grow on it and form a health risk for people who breathe the air...
Or some time it IS cleaned, using some chemicals that are NOT designed for this use and this is also a health risk...
But nevermind, only farang stay there so sanuk sanuk if they get sick!
