Take a look in Pantip. There a few shops specialized in Apple. Don't expect less than 20,000 baht though... Bangkok is not the place for electronics...

iPod is not just a MP3 player. It's a firewire HD as well, great for carrying your information and music as well. Don't bother buying it here if you want a good price. Check out Singapore instead. I got mine there.

What about trying an Archos? Check them at http://www.archos.com I got my Jukebox recorder in early 2001. I got a 6gb. I later changed the HD myself to a 20gb. I like the user friendly interface. You can connect it to any computer and it is read as another HD. You can put in there any files -not only MP3s. Thus it can double as a backup tool for your other files. And the batyeries are not the hassle that he IPOD nes are. Oh I forgot to say, you can also record as you go from any stereo, CD player radio, or microphone via the line-in jack without needing to use a computer. And when connected to your PC you can play with the files the same way you usually do with any other file. I am sticking to my Archos for now.

They are about 15-20k depending on HD. A new model is coming out soon for 12k... not sure of specs. I agree with Smegma... there are better options, with more flexibility... and the iPod battery dies after a year and a half of constant use - replacement almost as expensive as new unit.

i think I paid about 16-18k at the time which was cheaper than the uk hey smegma I had one of those archos 20gb units it literaly died about 1 week after the guarantee ran out i found the battery did not last as long as an ipod as I do a lot of travelling around the uk and I was getting about 4-6 hours out of a full charge with the ipod its definatley at least 8 hours maybe more but I must admit the new archos 80gb unit with the large lcd screen definatly gives me the gadget fever but at £800 its just a bit to expensive
