No I think Steve is still master of this puppet show. Apple marches on with steady growth capture more market share in computers and phones.
While I was hope for some better hardware upgrades in their phone and Ipod models, Apple carefully regulates the products so not to cause ripples of massive ups and downs in their stock price.
I think the amount that movie rentals have in add ing to Apple's bottom line has been underestimated.
The main problem I see for Apple is they are losing the support of the music labels. Where they have the support of allthe major movie studios, Amazon is going to cause them troubles in the music area in Y2008. Amazon has a much better selection in DRM free MP3's.
I wonder if Apple will try to bury this problem of reduced music sales by grouping it into some bucket called media rentals/sales with the new movie rentals picking up on the lost song sales.
I was hoping for GPS intsead of some lame ass Wi-Fi cell tower location system along with 32G memory in the iTouch, well maybe later this year forthe 32G.
I wonder when Apple will vacated those marketing symbols corded ear buds and go cordless?
Well it appears that it will be a boring Y2008 in tech.

I doubt very much that 2008 will be boring. Far from it.
Agreed that the movie rentals will develop big, and will give AppleTV a huge second wind.
So far, not quite sure what you are saying about the music sales being at risk, considering Apple keeps selling more and more music.
Apple hasn't even begun, and there's still 50 more weeks to go, and a lot more products coming down the pipe.
