You could also enquire at the Post Office adjacent to the Majestic if their CatNet Cards are still available Last year I picked up one for 150 baht which gave me about 300 minutes of surf time with one year validity. The only limitation is there are not many Catnet internet booths around. (Please don't confuse this with pussy net -- and don't any of you thread f_ck this one too : 555555 )

The executive room I stayed in at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit had a sign saying there was a free high speed internet connection. ÝThe room had a network cable coming from the wall. ÝIt looked like if I had brought my laptop, which has a network card, it would have been as simple as plugging it in.

One thing about the President Park is that they have free shuttles to the Emporium (Soi 24 and Suk). ÝThey run hourly in the morning and every two hours in the afternoon, but not at night. No return service. Taxi from PP to Suk at Soi 24 BTS stop is about 50 baht with tip.

I did a quest for high-speed internet a few months ago becuase the JW Marriott did not have it.
The Hilton on Wireless Road boasts high-speed, but in reality its Thai-speed a modem thru the dataport in the phone was faster.
The Hyatt says they were the first in BKK to install a broadband infrastructure in their rooms, but at their room rates >$255.00 USD a night forget about it.
Went back to the JW Marriott only to discover that they upgraded all their rooms to high-speed access. Yeah!!! I used and it works great I think it is about 500 badt a day, but not sure.
Anyhow, my Thai business internet connection is so bad that I rent an executive office at the Marriott twice a month that includes Internet access for 2400 badt for 8 hours.
One thing I can say for sure, forget about the satellite access to the internet, especially when it rains

Admiral Suites Soi 22 has high speed connection in room ADSL eq. 2000B deposit and from memory 200B a day. Unlimited connection time. Good suite and very girl friendly. So might be worth a look.

Novotel (CM2) has Broadband (yes and it works!) but is costly, from memory about 600+ a Day. Novotel Lotus is supposed to but I couldn't make it work 2 about 2 weeks ago! Lotus is Guest friendly but CM2 one is apparently not!

I checkad with Admiral Suites and they told me they have dial-up connection @ 7 baht a time. Not sure what they mean by "a time" Also don't have a room safe to secure my puter. Internet connection does me no good if housekeeping gleeps my notebook. Thanks UKY

Sorry for miss information! When I was there a few weeks ago they had sign in the lift saying they had ADSL equivelent internet connection for the above rates....... But as I did not have my laptop with me I never tried it.
But def can confirm that room safe is not big enough for a putter !
