I have been follow the iphone dev wiki and hackitosh, so far the only way I found to unlock the sim is through sim fusion which required additional sim reader and writer. Is there software hack for the iphone sims? If there is can someone provide the link. Thanks.

As far as Koreans go, who knows? They tend to prefer Korean products and have high pride in being self sufficient or at least able to do anything any other country can do. Of course North Korea carries this to extremes. If apple is popular in Japan don't tell the Koreans, they'll never buy them then. They'd forgoe anything before they follow the Japanese around.
The key is to get the Koreans thinking they can do more with apple products than the Japanese. After all that's how the Petronas towers were built.

You're probably right about the Korean cultural issues - so as long as the Japanese adore Apple products, the Koreans will probably prefer their own. Can't blame them, but it's a case of cutting their nose, to spite their face...
Maybe if Apple made some products in special 'Korea Only' versions...?

- What will Apple's response be (technically, it's in their own best interest to do nothing, as unlocked iPhones mean more sales -- BUT, it also means a lesser negotiation position with European and Asian carriers, especially since they are in the midst of negotiations).
- How many potential sales will this translate into for Apple?
- What's the next step?

Well I had used turbo sim method to sim unlocked the iphone, it works but required sim reading and recording equipment along with silver card. Hope this way will be easier, we will see.
