That's all great - I know that there is no issue in bringing a Vonage box (or, softphone) along in order to make charge-free phone calls to the US, or the called there, using my US number. That's not the issue. What if I need a local Thai number, in order to enable Thai to call me, using a local number (thus, lesser fee) that can ring-through to my US location. I can not imagine that some sort of VoIP/PBX system doesn't exist in Thailand - what if I want to set up an outsourcing facility, which requires me to have VoIP in order to provide compatibility with my outsource contracts? Obviously, if I had a residence there, I would set up a system using Asterisk, and several of the existing bridging boxes - which are also undetectable, I might add... But is there any provider that can provide a local Thai number? Dr. von Quack! Befuddled Telecommunicator
