I don't know what DTAC card I have but when I bought it, it had 1 year expiration and every three months I top it with 300 baht and it stays valid for three months.

When you arrive at the airport all the phone carriers are there!
Look before you exit.
Turn your phone on after inserting the Thai sim
the carrier will appear!
and normally it will message you with your credit

The carrier is DTAC. So I need to go to a proper DTAC office and enquire about the plan. I normally buy dozens of pre-paid recharege coupons and recharge on line.

True has a decent coverage in Bangkok. Go outside BKK (Pattaya) and you will be dissatisfied.

I don't stay out that late I have Business to attend in the day time.
DTAC are like I said just when you come out just look, when you see all those people with hotel cards look all the carriers are close to each other.
No I'm in Australia will be there just before your bed party.
And if you want to keep the same number I'm sure one of the local expats could do that for you every so often,just buy them a drink or three?
Just leave them some bht and the sim, like if you only get over once a year.

If you have enough of a buffer built up, your expiration date can be as far as one year ahead - which is my case. I think mine doesn't even come close to expiring until mid 2010.
