visiting Bkk for 4 weeks mid December/mid January. was originally going to stay at emporium cos of location to bts but have now decided to move a little away from the "scene".
can anyone advise of hotels or apartments in the 4/5 star range "next door" to bts or subway stations and not too far travelling time from the "action".
.
forget the shangri-la, cos have stayed there before and love it but want a different experience this time.
think for that period of time it has to be an apartment for price reasons, but want it equivalient to, or almost, emporium standards.
anyway help much appreciated.

Try using http://www.cellop.com for most of the world. However, I noticed that they do not have Thailand as one of the countries supported, but send them an email @ sales@cellop.com and they will add the carrier in Thailand that you want.
I had someone that requested a carrier in Bahamas, and they added it on.
