Hi Tech Bros,
will have to renew my laptop next time I pass by bkk (may be mext week).
Did anyone start to see if the New Laptops already integrate Vista?
I am thinking about going to Pantip, mostly because that has been the best place so far that I found. Anyone would have a better place?

In my most recent wander in Pantip, I did not see any machines with Vista "officially" loaded. I have not followed this too closely however I thought that M$ was focusing on Vista roll-out to the business community first and soon would be the consumer market.
From the reviews I've read, Vista seems like a waste of time unless you really want to pump up the specs of the laptop (ie. fast harddrive, max mem, etc).
UTFSE and you'll find links for some vendors website to get an idea of current pricing...

Still hoping to find this new OS, I've seen it on microsoft and I'm happy with the new explorer.
Isn't it usual that when something's new you'll always find some people criticizing it and later everyone will not regret XP anymore...
anyway thanks, I'll be in bkk next week and will have a look at it. I need a small laptop 12.1 or 13.3

true..however smart money says never install first run MS software. Alsways wait for a few months to let the unique features (aka bugs) get sorted out with a service pak or 2. Also you get a better feel for what the real requirements are to run it with any degree of satisfaction.
Personally, I still have 2 machines running NT, one 2000 and a couple XP. I have yet to see any upgrade from MS that have proved worthy or necessary to run out and get.
just my 2 cents worth.
