Yes. I bought my Ipod in Japan, and I Use it and charge it in USA, in Thailand, in Australia, in Europe. It is 110-220 volts and 50/60 Hz. so you can charge it anywhere on the planet. You may need an adapter in older places in thailand to fit into the outlet. But not in any newer place

iod Power adapters use universal voltage. 100V - 240V. You can also, of course, charge it via your laptop, if you bring it.

Just bought an Ipod in Central World and of course the wife wants one. Is there any way I can get it to display Thai characters as she wants to download some of her music ?????

555!

A friend of mine bought an Ipod Touch in Pattaya (Apple Store in the new shopping mall). It doesn't support Thai characterts by default.

It had to be patched to display these characters (incl. Wifi browsing). Normally they would have charged 500 baht for that. But since he bought two, the service was free.

Thanks Doc

I'll pop back to the Apple shop and see if they can do it for me.

For iPod Touch, what the Doc said holds - as for the 'regular' iPods, I know that the prior generation did not support Thai characters most of the time - i.e. even if I entered them on iTunes, or had song lists with Thai characters, sometimes they would display, and other times they would not.

It seemed to be related to the type of character set used during the naming, though I haven't spent any time tracking that further. As for the new iPods (nano and Classic), I don't know, as I haven't tried these with Thai characters yet.

Apple's support for Thai is marginal, to non-existent, sadly - which is something I'm hoping to change eventually.

I've seen the result after the patch and it seems satisfying....

All songs were transfered through Itunes and showed up properly. Also the 'output' of Wifi was good.

I've tried Thai characters on my Ipod Video 60Gb.... no success.
