Pretty sure this does not work in Safari 2, unless you install a third party add on ??? But this will definitively be a feature in Leopard's Safari 3.

Maybe it's because I'm running the SAFT add-on for Safari... I just noticed I have that. Get it! http://haoli.dnsalias.com/Saft/ Saft is a Safari plugin to add features like draggable tabs, full-screen browsing, searchable bookmarks and history, URL shortcuts, kiosk mode and more. Saft 7.0.1 received 4 mice product rating from the Macintosh experts at Macworld in the November 2004 issue of Macworld magazine: "And it's all so well-integrated that you'll soon assume that these features are just part of Safari--until you try to use someone else's Mac."

Remove the first word of your post ("maybe"), and this will be perfect...

ya, Saft is the job. Installed just now, it has a host of features, some quite useful and yes now I can drag tabs at my heart's content without even have to hold the Apple-Key or anything. Just using the mouse alone.

Did use NeoOffice for a while. Found it annoying that it always took ages for the application to start up. CarbonCopyCloner is a great utility. SuperDuper! is another freeware that does the same job. Re Safari tabs. The plugin SafariStand lets you move between open tabs using "," and "." Hope you're all using Quicksilver by now. If not: you do not know what you are missing!

Super Duper is *NOT* freeware - it is an excellent shareware product, well worth the $27.95 it charges. (the demo, simply backup/clone, is free, but that does not make it 'freeware')

There are lots of talks about the iteration of MBP (MacBook Pro laptop), the current design is due for an update, possibly this year in October with the release of Leopard OS X or if not at the next Macworld Expo in January 2008. One likely upgrade is the CPU; Intel's Santa Rosa supports 800 MHz FSB giving Meron mobile chips speeds up to 2.6GHz (X7800) and 2.8GHz (X7900). HDD possible introduction of 200GB 5400rpm, and in addition some NAND flash memory to make start up almost instantenous. Screen, LED backlighting and 1080p HD is a possibility if Apple will offer Blue-Ray drive option (Jan 08?) also a tweak to the case designs to eliminate the screen catches, replacing them with the magnetic latch. GPU, if we get the option of B-R and increased screen resolution then we may see MBPs sporting Radeon X1900 (ATI over nVidia as it offers better power management). Case/Design, bit of a long shot here, but I'd like to see an overhaul design and colour change, black matt similar to the 13” MacBook.
