While I agree with your points Daffy, I think calling people idiots is uncalled for. Uninformed may be more suitable. Or probably inexperienced. Most folks in the PC camp have spent little to no time on Macs and therefore have high pride.
Brand loyalty dies hard in the US too. Every year the big 3 put out some cars that are good and some that have surprising defects. Yet some people will still buy their next vehicle from them and wouldn't be seen in a Honda or Toyota, lest they be regarded as having purchased wisely.
The buy American argument doesn't wash, most cars are made from components produced all over the world and Toyota employs more Americans than the Big 3 combined.

Valid argument, Black Cats/LY, but it is my experience that the vast majority of folks stuck in their PC/Windows superiority mentality (what I consider a healthy dose of cognitive dissonance) won't listen to any reasonable arguments (of which many have already been made), and thus I really, honestly, don't care to convince them of my argument. In fact it's no skin off my back if they keep using something they consider to be better, in their opinion.
Other devices have their strengths, in fact, I personally like Nokia a lot. I just call a spade a spade, and thus if an argumentative point is worthy of idiocy, I'll say that.

As for your Apple argument, the whole reason I own an HP is because Apple will not do what it can do.
Why should I buy one computer for entertainment and another one to do the serious high level Java crap that people pay me obscene amounts of money to do?
I figure that if they can cram all this functionality into one computer and it operates efficiently then I am far ahead of the game.
Now before you 'Jump the Gun' and question Apple's ability in handling high level software I suggest that you do some research in commercial software and tell me what percentage supports Apple's OS (even their pseudo-windows version)
As for Windows, I would not upgrade to Vista even if my life depended on it (read the Vista thread if you want my opinion on Microsoft).
Actually once Sun migrates its SOAP tools from IE 6 to the Mozilla Browser (hopefully in conjunction with the new Sun Linux Desktop) I intend to scrap Windows and move to Linux.
So as usual Duck, you stuffed your webbed foot into your mouth and attempted to swallow your leg.
It seems to me that it is your mindless devotion to Apple that is idiot.
Meanwhile have fun with your iPhone (can it even work in LOS?) and I will keep interchanging SIM Cards in my Nokia so I do not have to pay those roaming charges...

No argument, there's the same kind of zealot on the Mac side as well, you just won't find him in the shape of a duck 
I have plenty of gripes with certain Apple technologies, including the iPhone, but I differentiate between the idiotic arguments that keep being regurgitated, and valid points. There's no point in trying to argue over the idiot arguments, and that's my point.
Give me a better tool for the job, and I will use it -- Apple's server platform is too immature for real server tasks, so I use Linux, for example. The iPhone lacks movie mode, and so far has arbitrary limitations imposed by AT&T (not Apple), which are semi-crippling - those are valid points. So far, though, not seen anything 'better' on the other side of the 'my PC/phone does more' argument.
