As a further indication that a LOT of stuff might be happening in the second part of the year (i.e. after June), here's what's been announced today:
- Austria will be the first European country to get the 3G iPhone, kinda as a 'proving ground' (at least that's how they are spinning it) with T-Mobile Austria.
- Both Italian carriers will be carrying iPhone.
- Vodafone has announced that it will carry iPhone in 10 countries - The telecom firm will offer the handset to Europeans in the Czech Republic, Italy, and Portugal; Greece, India, and Turkey will be covered by Vodafone in Asia, while Australia, Egypt, New Zealand, and South Africa will also be served by the company.
Looks to me like there's going to be a lot of good news in the next few months.
Oh, and stock's at $185.

Well believe it of not the B&O headset is less in Thailand than in the USA. I did find the Jawbone in the Siam Center, but as seeing some users with it looking like a Trekie I decided to pass and went for the B&O.
Definately better styling. Easy to use as all you have to do is unfold the mic and it turns on and syncs with your phone. The ear piece is nice and you do not have to worry about f***ing your ear canal with the insert. I would give it a recommended rating. The price is high, in fact it is worth more than my phone.

Does the B&O offer the same kind of noise cancellation the Jawbone does? I dislike the styling of the Jawbone (big and bulkier, than most), but the functionality of the noise cancellation won me over in zero flat - I can ride in my open convertible, on the freeway, and the person I'm talking to has no idea I'm on a handsfree, or even that I have the wind whipping around my head - the same holds true about the infernal noise in a server room - the Jawbone takes both situations, and renders them 100% silent, with clear voice.
I tried several other headsets that claim noise cancellation, and all were disappointing, except for the Jawbone. It delivered - and now that it can be found for less than $70, it's more or less reasonably priced as well.
They are about to release a new model - smaller.

I see that the UK and US have totally run out of iphones implying that the release of iphone 2.0 is imminent. I guess that will mean 3G - great but totally useless for us in LOS.
Still I am happy as I am as frustrated as hell with my phone but didnt want to pack it in because I was expecting a newer model. In particular battery life has near halved since I got it in September and there is my usual complaint about the ringer.
Other improvements? GPS (possibly only on a thai map) ? push mail? synch with the calendar? multi sms? different headset fixture?

Jawbone works well. Would be nice if it was smaller but at least it doesn't sit in my desk due to people complaining the sound quality was poor.
I had to call my own voice mail and leave myself a message while driving/window open/stereo on ect.
If you could maintain your normal tone of voice, you could probably answer a call from your wife while a TG was riding you having an orgasm and get away with it 
Small cost to get fairly good protection preventing someone hearing in the background you are someplace you shouldn't be. Now you can actually bullshit and say you are at the office filling out forms while you are actually in a bar getting a BJ 
Jawbone should add a samply like above to their webpage. Sure it would boost sales LOL

I'm thinking to replace my old & trusted Nokia E65 with the new (3G) iPhone 2.0 sometimes this summer, the only think that is holding me back is being tied to a carrier. I dislike having my phone locked to a network.
For business users good news is the commitment from Apple to join the list of mobile device makers that offer built-in support for Exchange mobile e-mail, licensing Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for the iPhone.
One of the possible options available are features that allow businesses to manage the iPhone through security policies in Exchange Server 2007, including remotely wiping all data from a lost or stolen iPhone, and requiring security provisions for email such as a password and pin access.
We'll see.
